Derik N. Lewis, Esq.

Having worked in real estate for nearly 30 years, Derik has lived through many of the ups and downs of the tumultuous California real estate market. He knows how to help his clients address and resolve even the most difficult real estate issues. For the past 20 years as an attorney in private practice, Derik has represented thousands of California homeowners in all aspects of real estate and mortgage matters.

Derik began his legal career representing the real estate divisions of some of the world’s largest banks, including JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and one of the largest real estate investment firms in the United States, Principal Life Insurance Company. The insight and experience attained working for large banks, and institutional investors is an irreplaceable benefit for the clients he currently represents.

Derik graduated magna cum laude from Boston University School of Law. He was honored with the titles of G. Joseph Tauro Distinguished Scholar and Paul J. Liacos Distinguished Scholar for his academic accomplishments. He has also served as a visiting lecturer at USC Gould School of Law, speaking on distressed real estate transactions and the aftermath of the 2007/08 real estate collapse.
